The History Press Ireland is always happy to hear from authors, agents and institutions about new publishing projects.
Please note, all submissions should be by email only. The information below gives some detail on what to include in your proposal.
Email submissions and queries to Ronan Colgan - firstname.lastname@example.org
For non-fiction, our submission guidelines are as follows:
An approximate word count
An approximate number of images which you would include
A synopsis of the book (300 words would be fine)
A contents page (this gives us an idea of the structure)
A sample chapter
An author bio (100 words)
A date when you could make final delivery of the finished work
These guidelines allow us to assess each proposal as quickly as possible, but please allow approximately four weeks for us to respond to you.
Some of our current series include:
Images of Ireland
Little Books of
Then & Now
Folktales (by County)
For historical fiction submissions, please send a synopsis of your work, together with at least two sample chapters, including the first chapter.
